THE SACRED CANDLE STORY

SACRED CANDLES was created by expert chandler Linda Jones in beautiful Mudeford on the Dorset coast.

At SACRED, we believe the most meaningful moments are often the quietest. In a busy world, our purpose is simple: to create a beautiful candle that invites you to pause, breathe and reflect.

Linda has worked carefully to create a candle that feels inclusive and meaningful across different faiths, spiritual traditions and personal practices of reflection. From the choice of vessel to the gentle, encompassing fragrance, every element has been considered to create a sense of unity, calm and reverence. We are quite unique in the candle industry in that we only offer one candle. one design, one scent. This allows us to ensure that the best quality is always assured.

ONE CANDLE - ONE SCENT  Hand-poured in our Mudeford studio, the Sacred Candle is made using carefully chosen natural ingredients, including 100% vegan-friendly soy wax and a subtle trace of pure sandalwood fragrance oil. 

Sandalwood was chosen for its warm, contemplative character and its long association with sacred spaces and devotional practice. Its fragrance is deliberately soft and understated — never overpowering — allowing the flame, the silence and the moment itself to remain at the heart of the experience. There is no heavy perfume and no unnecessary distraction. Just a beautifully considered candle, created to bring a sense of peace, focus and reflection into the home.

Each 30cl Sacred Candle burns for approximately 40–45 hours, providing a calm, steady light for moments of prayer, meditation, remembrance and stillness.

NOTE: WHILST WE USE THE SAFEST WAX AND NATURAL OILS WHERE PETS ARE COHABITING 

Always ensure that your pet is never left in an enclosed room with an unlit or lit candle. 

Always allow them space to leave the room for their own comfort and safety

Dogs and cats can be sensitive to light or heavily scented candles because their respiratory systems and sense of smell are much more powerful than ours and it can irritate if your pet is very sensitive.
